I could spend a little longer listing out words I found in the thesaurus, but I won’t. I know the feeling. You desperately want to start a business but just cannot seem to take any action.
It’s not that you don’t have all the skills yet, you can learn those. It’s not that you don’t have the tools for the job, you can figure out how to get those.
And that is down to your thoughts, and the stories you are telling yourself.
Sometimes all it takes is one phrase to interrupt that thought pattern and lead to a new thought.
“Fuck it, I’m just going to start”.
I know this as this is what happened to me.
I was talking to someone about how I couldn’t get started on this blog as I was worried that people might disagree with me. She said, “this blog is your space, and you are entitled to your opinion”.
That one sentence freed me from the fear of starting!
I still have doubts, worries, and fears, but now I just work through them.

It only takes one to make a major mind-shift.
I’ve listed 31 quotes below that I’ve hand-selected in the hope that one of them sparks a ‘YES’ moment for you and leads you to start your business.
Just before we start, here are some other blog posts I have written about starting a business if you want to have a read!

Honestly, the only way to get over the fear is just to start. Take a tiny baby step, then the next one, then the next one.
Don’t be sitting in your rocking chair when you are 90 years old, regretting that you never tried it!
